probably being asleep in my grandfather's cot."

"John Lennon. He had a creative energy which I haven't seen since."

"Staying out all night when I was 17. I was on a date and we got caught in a
snowstorm."

"A guy when I was 17 at high school, Pete."

"I'm a whiz in the kitchen."

"Nobody really. I think success is the best antidote to revenge."

"A 1962 Sunburst Telecaster given to me by a fan. He just came up to me and
said he wanted me to have this guitar."

"Throwing up in the Camden Underworld on my birthday in 1992. I'd been
drinking Maker's Mark onstage and then tequila slammers. I was carried out."

"Chicken and dumplings."

What's the best piece of advice you've received?

"Always wear clean underwear when you're travelling. From my mother."

"Yeah."

If you were invisible for a day, what would you do?

"I'd hang out at the Oval Office and listen to what they get up to in
there."

"That the world doesn't explode on January 1, 2000. We get another 365 on
