Disclaimer : Perche' non bisogna pagare per i bootlegs

Disprezzo chi lucra sui bootlegs, specie quelle persone che ti fanno credere di acquistare un prodotto originale... beh, ci crediate o meno e' una contraddizione in termini : NON ESISTONO bootleg originali, a dispetto di certe realizzazioni che effettivamente sembrano smentire cio'. Purtroppo il giro e' talmente vasto e redditizio che questi signori possono permettersi di duplicare i dischi in impianti industriali e di stampare le copertine in centri stampa professionali. Inoltre i bootlegs - giova ricordarlo - hanno un valore collezionistico prossimo allo zero : un conto e' acquistare CD promo della casa discografica, demo et similia, un conto e' entrare in possesso di copie in qualche modo non autorizzate. In ultima istanza vi e' un discorso legale, che non vi sto a spiegare, ma che comprenderete benissimo. Solitamente i bootlegs sono al limite TOLLERATI da artisti e major, a patto che non vi siano intenti lucrosi dietro. Ormai grazie ad internet e' possibile reperire concerti, video e quant'altro a costo ZERO, grazie ad iniziative come Easytree oppure nei numerosi canali di scambio e B+P (Blank + Postage). Perche' dunque pagare (anche salatamente) materiale che normalmente si trova gratis? E con i soldi risparmiati, comprate CD originali o quello che vi pare.

I don't really care if people download rare and bootleg songs because those performances were given to a group of people that were there on that night and if they had any spirit about them and if it's right in the cosmos for those songs to go out and have more life, then I'm okay with that. - Sheryl Crow

"I'm one of a dying breed who goes out and tours all the time. Labels don't spend money to send people out to play before they become famous, but we did do that so the fans we have are word of mouth fans who have been travelling around with us for years and they buy the albums. But they are also the ones who go out and get the bootlegs.I don't discourage bootlegging, I like playing live. I don't think it hurts my album sales at all if there are
